As sound outputs, you can actually only use the outputs of the sound card (i.e. The headphone output), a USB stick (i.e. USB sound card) or connections such as HDMI and (newer) Displayport (DP in version 1.0 or so) could not transmit audio if I was right remember) use connectors.
Analog video outputs such as VGA or DVI (here also the digital DVI) only transmit video signals and no audio. Otherwise there's only Bluetooth that you can use or, if necessary, stream somewhere from the notebook via WLAN, but then you would need a corresponding receiver or app on the receiver side.
There are USB sound cards, some of which are as big as a simple USB stick and have a headphone output and microphone input. It costs about 5-10 euro something like that.
