I have the problem that my soundtracks in FL Studio sound dull as soon as I set the sound output to Realtek Asio, which means "I want to let the sound run through my laptop box".
I have an audio interface from Steinberg (Ur44c complains that I think)
I also have a good Rhode NT1 and a gaming laptop with top graphics and sound card. The details do not matter here.
First of all: I have installed all graphics cards and sound card drivers. Everything is up to date.
I've already recorded tons of songs with FL and, strangely, it doesn't work today. If I let the recorded tracks run through my interface (speak with my headphones) the sound is crystal clear! Only Realtek ASIO makes a dull sound as if I had been standing in the room next door to record.
As soon as I listen to music on Spotify or watch YouTube videos, the sound is "normal" again, so it must be FL! I have the latest version noted in advance.
I have a driver for the ASIO device and fidgeted with the settings for hours. FL Studio has already been reinstalled and nothing has changed.
I'm pretty sure that the problem can be solved easily but I die with frustration. I ask for help!
Could it be that you have your bit rate on 16? Change it to 24 or 32 if possible.
