I'm trying to create a Sacred Gold (Underworld) game server for multiplayer on my PC. On my laptop it works fine, but on my PC, where it is important that it works, nothing happens? There's simply forever "Gameserver is running…" and nothing else happens. It should also only run on LAN, so on our router. Am connected with PC & laptop via WLAN with the router. With my laptop, I can easily open a game server directly, can also join and play on my PC, but that does not help me much, because the server has to run on my PC. I really do not understand the problem and am extremely desperate and can't find help anywhere. It works without Hamachi, etc. And even that did not work for me somehow. I also want to fix the problem, because apparently it just works that way. I read that it runs on the operating system, but I use on both Windows 10 64-bit? Then I read that the game server does not support a dual-core processor. My laptop, however, has a quad core and my PC has a hexa core? I also completely uninstalled the game again. Reset my firewall and did everything just like with the laptop too. It does not work on the PC. What could that be?
I thought it was because of the firewall. Have checked the rules together, everything set the same. No success. Have my firewall completely issued. No success. Under my network profile, I then saw that it was set to "Public" on my laptop and "Private" on my PC. Thought that's why. But that did not help. What else should I do? It has to go anyway but I do not understand the problem.
