How can I create a server for minecraft free of charge pc java edition tried to create a server also worked I also entered the correct port server name and server address put online because it appears serve seems to be offline I have to watch a few youtube videos Download me various files in the Wi-Fi setting to set up the port that my laptop is registered on. You know on the internet pages you have tips on how I can set up a server without setting anything and can successfully set it up online without money
Not free of charge unless you assemble a server computer yourself which can be expensive depending on how modern your components are.
Use Hamachi.
Otherwise you have to give the rooter a port release and create a DNS.
Back then I hosted one myself. Was just as expensive as renting a 10-person
Punctuation marks? If you want to operate your server online (accessible to everyone), you must activate ports in the firewall of your router. There's no way without setting what - the router controls who can access your network / PC.
Try Aternos.de because you can set everything including modpacks and that for free
Hamachi doesn't always work. The software is not really reliable. I used Hamachi myself and had to find out that a rental server is better (for many reasons). If you host a server locally, however, if it should be accessible 24/7 from anywhere, you should set up a DynDNS with which the server can then be reached permanently (prerequisite: server runs permanently on a possible external computer).
I also worked with Hamachi for a long time and have never had any dropouts. Alerdingst simply remains an external server (PC) with DynDNS and port release, the best. (Especially when he's not in the room and has 45 gigabytes of ram.)
@ Hammerfels9 I worked with it about 5 years ago… I don't know how far it has changed since then. As far as I know there have actually been no updates since 2006. But good. I know some people who have used Hamachi and have had problems. Maybe you were lucky and were spared.
What were the problems?
The connection was simply gone or no connection could be made
