I accidentally connected my Sonybox srs-xb30 to the power adapter on my laptop today. Since then, the box has not turned on. The box needs 5V, but the power supply has 20V… I assume that it was damaged as a result. Is it possible to reverse this somehow, or do I have to buy a new box now?
It is possible that only one fuse has blown in your device, you would have to look inside…
But if you don't know what to do, it's easier to buy a new box…
Or you use a repair cafe…
Many Thanks. That will probably be my project for the weekend to take the box apart
You could unscrew the device? And take pictures of the circuit board, especially the area around the sockets. Then you could possibly already say whether a repair will be easy or probably too extensive.
