Laptop faulty on charging, how to fix the error?

I have a Medion E3216 laptop.

Of that, I got off the charger from the insulation, which I could tease well with Tesafilm. Allersings, it is now completely broken.

I then tried to charge the device with a multi-plug (by a third party).

With the correct attitude nothing happened, with incorrect polarity (by mistake…) switched off the laptop immediately, I pulled the plug immediately. However, the cable did not work properly with other Medion devices.

So it is either broken or the Medion devices do not want third-party cables. Does anyone know what?

Today I found a new cable, even that does not load. It fulfills exactly the requirement, however has 2 instead of max. 3 required amperes.

Who can list possible other causes of error before I have to send in the part?

2 amps are not enough… 5 would not hurt, one too few is not.

Many Thanks. I thought, that is not relevant and just loads slower.

lo

I'm afraid the device is down…

probably it got the so-called stupidity diode. This is a diode, which is connected directly behind the charging socket "verkehrtrum". In the case of a wrongly polarized power supply, the current should flow through this diode in order to avoid damage to the device.

if you do not have anyone who can solder or can't solder themselves, then I'm afraid I'll stay away from sending in anything about…

Thank you, thank you, I did not know that part. Normally you do not do that…

Then this diode saved my but and explained that the laptop could still be started until completely discharged.
