Laptop as monitor use for new PC?

I've just put together my first own PC, but my monitor has not arrived yet. I have a laptop and a HDMI cable is it possible that I use my laptop as a screen for my new computer?

If your laptop has a HDMI in-put then yes, if not (which I think) then it does not work.

I think no. You would need an input for your HDMI cable and if you have the laptop is questionable. Would be something unusual.
