I have owned an Aprilia rs4 125 (2012) for a while now and have been dealing with ecu tuning (on cars) for some time. I think to myself that it's actually the same on a motorcycle and that it might be a good place to gain some experience in the field yourself or at least see it for yourself. However, I have no idea how to get to the point where you e.g. Can mess with timing and injection (i.e. The maps). After all, there's no USB plug that you simply hook up to the laptop and get started.
I haven't found any information on this anywhere else. So if someone can explain this to me and tell me what you need to do it, or whether it is even possible, I would be very grateful.
Clearly there ne obd interface 😅
there's even a free program for it, for ktm triumph and honestly don't know if aprilia is there too. Called itself Tune ECU.
if it is not there, it's just a software problem but there's sure to be a plug, but you need an obd2 cable as far as I know
It doesn't make any sense with 125 cc, because nothing can be extracted. They are built for maximum performance. It also makes little sense without a roller dynamometer.
Your operating license will also expire.
Thanks for the info but I already know that. It's just about "taking a look at it"
