I got my old Fujitsu Siemens Notebook from my father, because it had become too slow for him and he preferred to buy a new one. When I switched it on for the first time, it also started up normally, although it was really a bit slow, but it did boot. After a short time of about 2 minutes, the display suddenly went black. Even in the BIOS the same. On closer inspection I discovered a crack or macke on the back (on the left of the display hinge). He may have dropped the notebook.
What can there be broken for a part? And how do you get there at all?
Sounds like the display cable. So that it has a loose contact or is now completely broken. Maybe you can order this, but then you would probably have to unscrew the whole laptop (it will be difficult to get it again), then detach the display cable by heating it from the board or the pins and try the same on the screen (but probably won't work there) . So you would have to get a new display and then install it.
Thank you for your quick reply. I just added a photo.
Unfortunately, you can't see much in the photo, but I don't think that's because of your photography skills.
Do you hear the fan when you turn on the device? If so, either the screen is broken, the cable is broken or an internal chip has been blown, which blocks the transfer of information to your display.
You're right. First the laptop starts up properly and I even get into Windows. After a short time the display switches off and the fan comes on.
That means the laptop still starts up but after a few minutes it always goes out?
I agree. And as soon as the display goes out, the fan switches on. But I think only the display switches off, the laptop continues to run. Only when I press the ONOFF button does the laptop switch off completely
