So I recently bought a new laptop and was also able to install the operating system and the office everything super - that was no problem. Basically, I know myself with computers but unfortunately not out and find my problem synonymous no "Youtube video" in which this is explained. My DVD drive does not work… But I have one, only if I insert a DVD, this is not recognized. CD is not a problem though. Well, maybe someone knows what I have to do there, so I can play DVD's synonymous?
With which program do you try to play DVD?
Can you open DVD with the Explorer and see the content?
First of all, the drive must be able to play DVDs. So, it must not be a CD drive, it must also dominate DVDs. But that is usually the case.
To play a video DVD you need a program, which makes this possible. Windows and the laptop can't do just that.

There you will find a list of media players, the VLC player is free, which I would recommend first. Other software looks better (like a DVD player), but costs money or does not run permanently.
You should install the VLC player.

Yes I can, it just does not react, if I click it and want to play it…
You need a software to watch movies from DVD. Take the free VLC player
Thank you! VLC media player or VLC Media Player Portable? What is the difference?
Alright, thank you very much.
Take the normal VLC. You probably do not have to install the portable, but you have to comment that it's a problem.
Ok, so I downloaded that… Great thanks. Only now comes always "The input could not be opened"
