I can see graphic differences and FPS performance very well with my eyes.
That's why I noticed that my Alienware Notebook 17 (2013) with Full HD (1920 x 1080) creates a sharper and brighter picture than my monitor on my new desktop PC. The monitor has 3440 x 1440 WQHD at 21: 9. (AOC CU34G2X / BK).
The PC has an Nvidia Geforce 2070 Super installed. The notebook is an Nvidia Geforce 980M.
The most striking thing about the notebook is the quality of the Windows icons in the taskbar and the identical background image as on the monitor.
The white values on the notebook are also much stronger.
I went through the settings on the AOC monitor one more time, but apart from a little brighter (still no comparison to the notebook) I can't get it any more.
What is that exactly, that can't be the WQHD is worse than Full HD when both are the native resolution.
According to the information, the AOC has a brightness of "300" and a VA panel.
Perhaps someone has an idea how to get the image on the AOC monitor even sharper without external program help?
I think the explanation will be the pixel density, which is simply higher on your notebook.
With your monitor you have a pixel density of 109 PPI, with your notebook 129 PPI
Thank you mister expert.
Can you please explain to me briefly what PPI is in terms of pixel density?
You can't change them, right? They are static / set once, right?
PPI is the abbreviation for "pixels per inch". So for every 2.54 centimeters you have this number of pixels.
And the pixel density depends on the resolution and the size of the monitor. Therefore, you will not be able to increase the pixel density on your current monitor, but should not be of interest because you should sit so far away that you can't see any pixels
Unfortunately, I always sit right in front of it. : 3.
Well, despite the weaker PPI than a 2013 notebook, the 21: 9 32 '' WQHD monitor is still one of the best.
That it can't get that bright is probably due to the VA panel.
Whether the VA panel stands for the best contrast and black value…: 3
So the test winner in the screen / display order is certainly the current smartphone, there I don't see a pixel up close haha, then probably my Alienware 17 (2013) and then the LG OLED CX and finally the AOC.
: P The resolution is just ned everything.
Is my old one, but thanks.
Have you set the screen brightness high in the monitor settings?
Luminosity:
Brightness to 100, contrast to 60 and Gamma3.
Could be due to the color coverage!
Hi, the graphics setting is very important. It must always match the resolution of the monitor. Otherwise it will be blurred.
Just check the resolution.
What is suggested is always correct.
You are certainly right that you see a difference.
Why is that so?
An incorrect graphic setting and the picture will be blurred. Wrong driver?
I have a 4k TV. It doesn't get any sharper.
You are simply setting your monitor incorrectly.
It can also be super sharp when properly adjusted.
Rookie mistake.
