Monitor does not run on 120 / 144hz?

Have a laptop (Nitro 5, HDMI 2.0 port)

I wanted to connect a monitor with wqhd / 144hz.

When I tried to change the resolution via display settings, I could set it to wqhd, but only set the HZ number to 70 Hz.

I use an HDMI 2.0 cable, so at least Wqhd / 120 Hz would have to run…

If I set the monitor to full HD (1080p) then I can only select max 60 Hz

Also on the Nvidia graphics settings I can't change the Hz number…

wi

Display settings → extended display settings → Display adapter properties of monitor → set under Minitor 144Hz

If that does not work, look if the monitor has multiple HDMi and which is suitable for 144Hz. Maybe your monitor is designed only for Displayport and the HDMI input remains at 60Hz.

Thanks, I tried the first one right at the beginning. The monitor actually has 2 HDMI ports, I will try the same time…

Which graphics card?

GTX 1050 Ti

Did you install the driver from the Nvidia side for the card?

ro

It says that there are no new drivers, but many thanks in any case

Where is that?

So, have tried it now and after a long time back and forth, I got the 144hz only on full HD - I now have the 144hz / WQHD. Thank you

I have in principle only the HDMI cable from port 1 to port 2 plugged, then it went

wi

That's what I thought. Only one of the ports is 2.0, the other 1.4

Do not forget asterisks.

Sure, is not yet, but I'll do it if it works.
