Which graphics card do you have in the PC or in the laptop?

Am

Vega.

The survey is pretty pointless, too vague

kn

No. Only as a survey should serve. So everyone can see who has which graphics card in the PC or laptop.

Am

Well, Nvidia GTX can be a 1060 (as you have it) or a 560 (from 2011) or even older

Mo

A Vega is a Radeon graphics card, is not for nothing called "AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 or -64"

Li

I also wanted to extend my desktop to two monitors under Linux - but that only works with a Radeon card

Mo

Have a GTX 1070 iChill X3 V2 since CyberMonday 2018

kn

Moment! I did not understand that. The only thing that's right, I have a NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060 6GB.

kn

Yes, sure! They are also reasonably good for gambling! But more likely to gamble then the NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics cards (from the GTX 960).

Am

My neighbor has an Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 in her PC and is gambling with Guild Wars. You would click the same as you did but have a graphics card from 2011 that is pretty weak.

Am

Nonsense ^^

kn

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 can still compete in some games. Of course it is not one of the very weak graphics cards, but it is not necessarily very good. That's how I would say it. I know, at that time I gambled on medium with the AMD Radeon HD 7550M / 7650M LS19! That's what you have to imagine!

kn

Uh no, that's no nonsense! A few things you can play with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 so many nice games. I mean, for example With an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or even lower you can forget GTA5 if you want to have a great graphics.

kn

Are theoretically all the same graphics cards only that they come from another manufacturer!

Am

Oh, I thought in comparison to the Vega. Yes, that's right, with older GTX you can forget about gambling.

kn

I use the NVidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB. It is not the same now that you can gamble with the NVidia GeForce GTX 980 nothing.

Mo

I hope you mean that all GTX 1070 have the same chip. The PCB and especially the cooler is very different in the cards. In addition, many models have changed clock rates!

Besides, I just wanted to specify my model, so you would not have to ask!

Years ago I played with the GTX 760 (2GB) GTA 5 on Very High / Ultra (1080p but without Advanced Settings) with ~ 50-70 fps.

Also 4k (complete mix of normal and high) ran at 30-40 fps.

Meanwhile, it's an Intel HD 4600 with me, since my old desktop PC becomes athritic on some components after about 15 years. I do not refer to the computing power of the system itself, but at least the motherboard and power supply would have to be changed there, so that it starts again at the push of a button.

The desktop computer includes an AMD Athlon 64 × 2 - 5200+ (Windor) and an ATI Radeon HD 3850. Monitor: 15 "CRT with 800 × 600 pixels from Belinea, and there's nothing in the way of this PC system, if at all still starts.

But since I already looked for some years to save as much energy in my household, but still to have full functionality, I was looking for and saved for some time on a (new) Windows notebook, after my original Samsung Daria with Intel Core T3200 was used up due to water damage.

Although Android devices work (tablet) very sparingly for the general Internet access, but I can't stop using all my old Windows applications and games.

Thus, I first saved on a book with AMD Ryzen 3 - 2300u, or Ryzen 5 - 2500u. In principle, I would not have fulfilled my savings target yet, and thus no notebook, but since I came to my regular research on a used HP Pro-Book with Intel Core i5-4310m, Intel HD 4600, 128 GB SSD, 8 GB RAM and Win7 - Pro.

After a Windows update to the latest SP run on all my old games, which I tested so far, all buttery soft… And that with artificial Taktlimitierung to a maximum of 2.0 Ghz and HD 4600 on "car". The fan of the book still does not get much to do. (Book inaudible at about 67 degrees max T_Core)

For 250 euro incl. 12 months warranty (except battery), it was worth it to me, and I was not disappointed. So far, I have not gotten around flanging my energy cost meter between the power outlet and the power supply, but I'm assuming less than about 25-30 watts of power (total device) during gameplay (my old games) in my self-made power plan.

That would be about 25% of my old system, where the CRT monitor would be extra.

Here at GFN but I stay with my Samsung Galaxy Tab A - 10.1 in the activity, because there's this tablet unbeatably economical even compared to the great notebook. 🤗

The laptop has an Intel HD 630 installed.

In my desktop PC a Nvidia RTX 2070.
