Then you burned it wrong. The burning option of the file manager (with Windows & macOS) burns only "data discs", which can only be played by PCs, but not by * players (according to experience).
Under macOS I use "Burn" and under GNU / Linux & * BSD Brasero for CDs. For example, there are CDBurnerXP under Windows.
When burning anything done wrong or the CD player simply does not recognize the file format.
Spare me the answer. When burning probably mp3s were written on the CD. Many Blu-ray players and even some DVD players can still read this CD (as soon as the player has any video output / user interface).
