My nephew needs a laptop for school. In the absence of financial resources, the budget is between 250 and 300 euro. 300 is probably even too much, so it would be cheaper.
I know that it won't be a high-end device, but I wanted to ask you if you can recommend a laptop to get the maximum performance for your change?
It is sufficient if youtube and co run smoothly, microsoft programs and teams etc. Run well.
I've found a couple of models before

Take this one: https://www.saturn.de/...89692.html
There's no better way to go cheaper than that, as otherwise the battery or processor often suffers from the lower price. I also have this one for school and it is completely sufficient.
PS: NEVER buy a Chromebook if your nephew wants Libre Office or Word, because Chromebooks are cheap but run on the Google OS and not Windows. So it will be difficult to get all programs there unless you are using Linux mode and I don't know to what extent your nephew would like to deal with it.
Hey thanks for your answer, but the laptop is not available in the saturn. I'll look for a similar one though.
It is best to always make sure that the battery life does not go below 5 hours. If you have a battery life of 5 hours you can usually get along okay 6-7. Some cheaper models end up with non-replaceable batteries that run out after an hour after 3 months.
Suggestion: take a look at used devices.
New devices for the price are usually pretty junk. Maybe you can get a 3-4 year old 700 euro device on eBay. It's old, but the quality is definitely much better.
