Have a problem with Avira. The following: Updated my PotPlayer and did not pay attention that the avira and Opera had also clicked in the check mark.
Opera is now down and out of the registry, but avira does not really work that way. Have tried several times to remove this stupid program and also from the registry, but not. Even the Avira remover tool from Chip.de helps nothing.
my partner then ran a program called "IObit unistaller", helped after a reboot, but not 5 minutes later, Avira was already back.
I'm slowly despairing and suspecting that I'm only able to do this thing by completely resetting my PC.
My question: Is there anything else I can do, or do I have to reset the PC? Do you have a suspicion what keeps this Avira on my PC? A stubborn virus? A program?
Look at the page of Avira. There may be a separate uninstall program there, as with most antivirus programs.
Or get yourself an uninstaller.
Avira is hell about their tools and uninstalling.
Use the registry cleaner https://www.avira.com/...oads#tools
The whole in safe mode.
Here is a little guide.

Okay thanks avira is stupid anyway because of everything blocked, I hate avira. LG
Restart your PC in safe mode. There, the distances with the Iobit Uninstaller should work permanently, also the PotPlayer should be uninstalled immediately. If Avira is still in the list of installed programs, then restart in safe mode and start the normal deinstallation of Avira, as well as the player. Then you can download the Avira Registry Cleaner, then start again in Safe Mode and the Avira Registy Cleaner.
Avira is already good and has a good engine. And at least in the purchase version nciht very cumbersome to configure. But you just have to be careful that you do not unintentionally install these useless additional tools.
