Having a problem with my Acer laptop (Windows 10). As soon as I start it, the Acer logo appears briefly, then a loading circle and then the screen is completely black and stays that way. I'm not familiar with computers, but I would say that it is not because of the screen, since I get into the boot menu quite normally when I start with F2 and everything is displayed normally. Would just like to use the laptop again, also gladly accept solutions in which all my data is lost. If you know how to delete the entire laptop from the boot menu or if you have other suggestions, please help me.
That can be because of many things, it can be because of the hard drive that Windows does not start or because of Windows itself. Would simply bring it to repair or watch videos on yt what you can do if Windows does not start
Can also come from a Windows update.
Since the update to win10 20h2 I have also often, after starting it shows that there's no operating system on the computer.
Then I turn it off and on again then it runs.
Just do it more times off and on at some point the automatic rep starts
It may - but does not have to - be due to OPTANE,
in fact, it is a "feature" that some computers have built in that supposedly can make Windows faster - or not.
It was the case with my Acer, I couldn't install Linux at all.
Only after hours of searching the net did I find the solution for my Acer:
When starting the BIOS> in the "MAIN" menu press "Ctrl + S"> activate the "AHCI" there.
Safe and restart.
Maybe it helps you.
If that wasn't it, you can switch it back to this way again.
PS: Read that through from the user "Kno63"!
