I have an Acer Aspire E15 notebook. At the connector from the screen and keyboard is a white cable and a black cable, both of which are cut

(see image). Could it be that it is the reason why I can't connect to the WLAN? Can someone help me and tell me whether the notebook can be repaired. You have to say that I have no clue about technology (PC, notebooks, etc.), mind you.

That should be the Wi-Fi antenna that tore it up there. They are usually housed in the lid of the lappies.

no wonder if the Wi-Fi no longer works

with the right parts you can fix something like that

An

Can one fix / exchange that somehow or are there alternative solutions in which I can use WLAN again?

Le

Of course you can swap that.

Lappi dismantle, insert a new antenna and then the thing works again.

alternatively, you can plug a Wi-Fi stick into your laptop for little money and establish your connection via Wi-Fi

Ar

Either a stick, you can have it fixed or do it yourself. For this you would have to get the appropriate cables (e.g. EBay) and then install them. But that can be a bit fiddly because you have to take the display or the lid apart.

Le

You have to dismantle the whole lappi, the antenna has to be on the board

but you're right… You should have done it before

Ar

Completely dismantled: I know, but it doesn't always have to be, the display does. And yes, you should have done something like this before or have no reservations and skill.
