How to persuade parents to buy a gaming PC?

Hi, could you tell me arguments for a gaming pc to persuade my parents. I mean a gaming pc is not just for gaming. I can now program a bit and would like to do a photoshop. The only problem is my mother says I should take my relatively slow Acer Aspire 3 laptop.
