Since this night my laptop crashes every 5 minutes. Windows 10 operating system, manufacturer Acer, barely a year old. Yesterday, apparently without warning, an update was underplayed unnoticed. In the Task Manager it can be seen that Microsoft.Photos.exe always opens right before the crash. The task eats up a lot of memory. MsMpEng.exe (Windows Defender) and SearchUI.exe (Cortana) as well. I do not know if that was always the case. RAM is almost fully utilized at 100% during operation. In any case, I can safely assume that no virus or malware has been installed, Malwarebytes also says it is clean. I use this laptop only for surfing and have only the bare essentials from a reliable source on it. He ran in front of it normally without any problems. Unfortunately, I did not do any backup. How do I proceed?
I'm grateful for any help!
You can uninstall the latest update: https://www.heise.de/...82288.html
or Microsoft.Photos "uninstall": https://www.computerbase.de/forum/threads/microsoft-photos-exe-deinstallieren.1734431/
Microsoft.Photos syncs or scans your images and tries to upload them to OneDrive.
Since your computer crashes constantly, you may not have enough time to properly uninstall or downgrade. Therefore, you should start the computer in repair mode. There you can then, for example, return to the previous version of Windows.
In the repair mode you get when you boot the computer and turn off when the Windows logo appears on the power switch immediately. You have to repeat this process two or three times.
