Signal does not recognize my webcam (Linux Parrot OS)?

I got a new webcam today because my laptop doesn't have an integrated one. Now I've tried a few times to test it out. It worked via Discord on the desktop, but strangely not via Signal, since neither the webcam's camera, the microphone in the webcam, nor my headset were recognized / displayed.
I have Parrot OS Linux and also took a look at the installation CD, but it could not be opened via a package installation manager and when it worked via Discord, I did not have to install anything beforehand.

What can i do to make it work? Have I overlooked something? It would be great if someone could help me

Try out Linux Mint. This distro also has package sources with proprietary drivers. It is more likely that it will work correctly.

So it works in Discord, but not in Signal? Then it can be bad the driver.

How are the apps installed? Deb, Flatpak or Snap?

to

Well, if it works in Discord, it will hardly be a driver problem.

Ja

I believe both via Snap Store, Discord could also be a deb package, I can't remember. But definitely one of both. Could try again a deb package for signal

That would be important to know. Because there can be different rights concepts etc…
