Moin community,
As you can already read in the title, my PC is no longer working a motherboard change.
I have googled on all pages but unfortunately I can't find it.
How the whole thing came to be:
My colleague has upgraded his PC and has given me his old motherboard and its CPU this is an ASUS Hero VI Maximus and an i7 4770K 3.50GHz.
My old setup:
Intel i5 6400
IPM17-00
Hopefully I have my video card (Zotac 970 AMP! Extreme Core)
and my memory (2 latches) connected.
It ran with the new motherboard unfortunately not as good as I had hoped, it remained everything black at first but everything else fan so the graphics card CPU and other fans even after a zero check method has nothing at all works up to the 24 pin plug once I ran the CPU plug everything went off.
So with full disappointment, I have everything back to my old motherboard connected and wanted to start working again but negative there everything but there's no picture synonymous here zero method tried it is all but no picture.
I tried the whole thing on 3 different monitors none works.
Have a laptop connected with an HDMI cable to the monitors but there they go.
Please help I can't work anymore I do not have any money for new eqiutment at the moment, I was just getting on a good way to become self-employed
The i7 4770K runs with DDR3 and the i5 6400 with DDR4 how did you get the DDR4 in there?
The 6400 can also run with DDR3, as long as you have the right board.
Both runs on DDR3
Have you grounded yourself before? The fan of the graphics card, still turns while you start the PC?
Yes, I have, yes, the graphics card fan run the whole synonymous with colleagues on the PC tried so the graphics card and the RAM but there's everything
The motherboard and the CPU are still working on your friend? Did you test that by chance?
Motherboard yes CPU no, but even if my old SETUP does not work anymore
This is an ASUS Hero VI Maximus and an i7 4770K 3.50GHz.
…
Intel i5 6400
…
and my memory (2 latches) connected
you mean the RAM that you used before with your i5 6400?
Your I5 6400 had DDR4 RAM, the setup you got got only DDR3 RAM support. You should not have gotten physically into the board! (Except with a lot of violence) So your calculator can't run so probably you have the action broken the RAM
Do you have any other power supply available? It may well be that it is the power supply.
Yes, unfortunately, nothing works
My I5 ran until today always with DDR3 and thus I worked until before the new purchase and I also bought DDR3 RAM
Everything is connected correctly on the motherboard?
Yes, I had before Abmontur from the old mainboard again made a picture and connected accordingly again
Is there no picture, or does the PC start up and go out immediately?
He starts and stays the whole time I have it on night also hoping that I see something good in the morning
Quite stupid question. But you have already connected the HDMI cable to the video card and not on the motherboard or?
OK, I know that Intel CPUs all have an additional DDR3 memory controller, but s the only time I've seen such a desktop motherboard was on Aliexpress, so I did not expect something like that actually being used by anyone.
If the RAM is DDR3 so the error must be somewhere else.
Obvious would be a mistake in the installation, have you checked if really all cables stuck
Ans motherboard include:.
4 + 4 pin EPS (near the CPU)
20 + 4 pin ATX (right side of the big one)
front panel
The graphics card includes the 6 + 2pin PCIe connector.
Please hail again if everything is right in there. If that does not help then try to rule out errors (Graka out and use onboard, only one RAM latch in different slots)
The 6400, works with corresponding motherboard, synonymous with DDR3 :).
Yes I have
I know, the Coffee Lake CPUs also have DDR3 controller, but I've never seen live how something was installed in a desktop PC have a corresponding motherboard so far only seen once on Aliexpress.
Yes, I tried everything with the Nullmethedo
These boards are also usually only installed in finished PCs by MEDION etc, as far as I know. Do not want to put anything wrong in the room here.
Disconnect the power adapter from the PC, and hold the power button pressed for about 15 seconds. Now try again to start the PC, after you have reconnected the power supply.
With whom old or new mainboard?
Best with the new one.
Everything is clear when I turn it on after 2-3 seconds off and back to permanent loop
Make a BIOS reset.
On the old mainboard, it is unfortunately only with the battery method I have made nothing brings on the new there's the key I have made and synonymous with the battery brings nothing synonymous
This is really very strange… Since you say that everything is actually connected properly, I'm assuming that the motherboards kapput or at least the BIOS chip. Although this is really a strange coincidence, the two motherboards will break at once 🤔. With the iGPU of the CPU, you get synonymous no picture or?
