I'm an absolute technology layman. I bought the last year's Asus Transformer Mini and recently updated the Windows 10 as well. The tablet even said that Office Mobile is installed.
So, now that I wanted to use Word, I had to log in with my Microsoft account to verify my "permissions." Then I had to - because of alleged illegal activities of my account - verify me even by mobile phone number. So far so good, but now it says I would need to buy Office 365 to do something, for example. To create documents in Word? (Only reading is okay.)
Can this be? On my normal laptop I have Word etc. Legal installed and can use it - can I somehow use that for my tablet?
Incidentally, I wanted to sign up for the Tablet synonymous only with Microsoft Apps with my MS account. Micrisoft wanted to sign me up with the whole tablet anyway, but I thought that was stupid. Can it be that it therefore rumzickt?
And no, LibreOffice is unfortunately not suitable for any purpose.
Is microsoft, that's n feature.
… Get libreoffice xD
LibreOffice is - as written above - unfortunately not suitable for my purposes. But haha very good tip, thank you, I google just for 3 hours to solve my problem.
If it's a single license, you can only use it on one device. Maybe that's why the error message came. Can this be?
So, I have not tried to install the license thing from my laptop on my tablet yet. I just kind of assumed, if there's a sticker with "Office Mobile" on my tablet, then you should be able to use it? Just wanted to create a Word document on the tablet. Or they have preinstalled, but I still have to buy the license?
Yes, usually this is installed as a trial version, which can be used for 30 or 60 days, and then you just need a valid license.
Oki, sure, that's probably because I can't use it. Did not know that this is different than my laptop.
Gladly, no topic. Think about whether you really want to switch to Office 365. There are always cheap offers, and you can then use the license on up to 6 devices. And you also have the right to always get the latest version.
Do you need the latest version? Pay permanently? Except in the company I do not think why I should install office365 and the problems are not less synonymous rather more, because once again the new version unasked something changed what as always with MS products does not work. So if my client did not have to, he would not want it either.
Nope MS is not free. Unfortunately. The app has to be paid if you absolutely need it. And preinstalled are, as I said, only demo versions to anfixen. With digital coke all are now very good as a dealer.
