Moin, for 2 days or so my laptop (asus ROG GL753VD) has been extremely hot, mostly up to 80 °.
However, the fans hardly work, usually they are always lousy loud, which doesn't bother me, but because the system is so hot, I can't play games because my performance is so miserable. So legit at 1-5 fps we're there, when the fans are running at high speed everything runs smoothly with a good 100-120 fps.
I don't know why the fans don't run faster, nor whether I can regulate it somehow, the only thing I've seen so far is the ROG Gaming Center which can run the "ventilation accelerator" at maximum, but it doesn't show any effect.
Out of desperation, I already thought about buying an external fan, but honestly I don't know if it works.
I know about technical stuff about computers etc really zero, does anyone have an idea?
Incidentally, 3 days ago the fans were still running at high speed, and from one day to the next they just don't get any faster.
I think that the CPU draws too much power and then the heat causes thermal throttling.
Only the CPU helps to undervolten.
Maybe first clear out the fan and change the thermal paste.
