Correct drawing tablet and program?

I have an Asus laptop (5 years old, Windows 10) and would also like to draw digitally.

So programs are available to me Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator CS2.

Which drawing tablet is cheap but also good and which freeware would be best?

I would like to color well, but also want to be able to work with gradients, shadows etc.

PS: Is there maybe freeware to make cartoons?

I'm grateful for tips and recommendations.

Tablet: I can recommend the Huion brand, they are much cheaper than Wacom and have fewer errors.

Program: Medibang Paint Pro, is almost like Photoshop with a free online cloud to edit the files on PC / mobile phone / tablet and is free. They even offer brushes in the cloud for free and you can make your own texture brushes.

For animations: I mean in the Krita drawing program you can also create animations but I'm not sure about that. TvPaint or ToonBoom are rather the recommendations that are also used frequently, but they are not free unless you crack them

With graphics tablets it comes down to the feeling

There are 2 types to choose from, one without a display, mostly for beginners, depending on the model, and one with a display, which is also expensive

I have a Wacom Intuos and I can't deal with it and want to get one with a display

Krita, Paint tool sai and gimp would be available for freeware, but photoshop is enough
