Gaming Laptop which manufacturer, which components?

Some time ago I had already asked for a medium-priced gaming notebook and now I have some money left, so that I have around 2000 euro available (cash, deposit is unfortunately only possible with a high fee).

I would now like to get a correspondingly current device, but have little idea of mobile computer systems, I use only my desktop PC, which currently has 2.5 years under its belt, but still running solid.

And no, I do not want to upgrade my computer and also no new desktop PC, I need a compact solution, without a tower, without a large screen and bulky keyboard, as I often travel and just need more space in the trunk.

So, long story short:

What should I pay attention to? What components should I choose the most, so CPU, GPU, the usual suspects… What is not overly high-end in the laptop area right now, but good enough to rip something over the next few years? What should be kept away from?

Since I will also depend on a cash purchase, as described above, I would be interested in which manufacturer is recommended. HP, Asus, msi, Lenovo? Who has good ventilated and robust enclosures and who gets the most for his money?

Thanks in advance for every tip and every help.

So as a brand I would choose HP Omen or MSI or ASUS ROG.

CPU is almost secondary but if then Intel's H series.

GPU towards GTX 1070, RTX 2070.

RAM 16GB +

SSD is duty.

Take a look at the new XMG Fusion, in the price range specified by you who offer a really clean equipment, and what I think is great magnesium housing.

Alternatives would be DELL XPS or DELL G series (although I had not heard anything in my fingers), there are also cheaper Inspirons, but you have plastic in your hand and relatively heavy.

Then ASUS ROG, Omen by HP and Acer & MSI also have some gaming series of which I personally do not think much.

Alienware is well equipped.

I know that basically you also pay the name, but at Alienware you pay 80% mark.

Thank you!

That's all very well and I already had Dell on the screen, but is Dell still not exclusively sold online?

Oa

OK Sorry the line in your post passed me by, but then you are reliant on brands offered in electronics chains etc, there's e.g. I think XMG out again.

Is not there anyone who can order for you?

Lo

Not bad, that happens. I also played quite far.

And unfortunately no. Although I could deposit the money, but there's a lot of flutes. At least one good mouse or a new headset. Optionally, I could go home and deposit it there without any fees, but the fuel costs would probably be even higher.

It bothers me a lot, otherwise I could have made something at One or Alternate or just resort to other providers online, where I'm not dependent on such a fixed arrangement as with well-known manufacturers and would not stand here now as ox on the mountain and ask. 😭

Hmm so notebooksbilliger also has xmg in the range, if someone near you is inquire if they just order you in the store.

From which corner do you come, if I may ask?

Lo

Notebooksbilliger has stores or I just understand something wrong? I seldom buy computers, they are used and upgraded until nothing works, I have no overview.

I live in central Thuringia. My account is still in MV so far, so I can't deposit anything.

Jepp notebooksbilliger.de also has shops, but right near you unfortunately not: https://m.notebooksbilliger.de/infocenter/section/store

Oh no, they're all gone. Dortmund is near my father-in-law, but I can't get there either.
