New notebook for studying?

I'm about to buy a new notebook for my studies.

I'm studying architecture and accordingly I need a notebook that is well suited for CAD, image processing and rendering.

However, I would not like to cut back on gaming because I would of course also like to use the notebook for other purposes or for gaming.

Now I have found two notebooks that meet my requirements and also fit into my budget.

The decision which of the two I should take is extremely difficult for me, since I have been looking at the omen for a long time, but the Strix would be my favorite notebook as a ROG fan.

Possibly. Can you help me with that and show me Pro & Contra for anything.

I'm well aware that I would have to buy Windows 10 from the Omen and possibly have to upgrade an HDD or SSD. However, not difficult for me, since I have already assembled my gaming PC myself. Which, unfortunately, I can't take to university ^^.

I also deliberately chose 17 inches because I like it better than 15 inches.

The choices are:

17 "would be too big for me, but if you say that it fits you.

My choice would be the ASUS. A little lighter, more connections, in my eyes a much more stylish design and, above all, twice as much memory. Especially with CAD and gaming much better…

hi

As far as the memory is concerned, I can expand it with both by e.g. A 2.5 "1 TB HDD. The ASUS has no cam, but I think I wouldn't have used it anyway and because of the SD card reader, there are cheap adapters.

I bought a beginner's notebook from Medion about 5 years ago and it works very well with CAD, because nothing stutters when rendering. The days when you had to pay attention to the graphics card are long gone.

I only bought one at that time with 18.3 inches so that you don't look out of your head. They are almost non-existent today, if they are then almost priceless.

17 "are almost too small for CAD.
