When I play The Forest on my gaming laptop (Asus Tuf Gaming) and my cooling is set to "Performance", my laptop gets up to 80 degrees. Can that be because it is on my table and no cool air can come in from below? Would it be better if I put it at an angle so that more air can come in from below?
80 degrees are just about harmless.
This is not unusual for a laptop, as much cooling performance is not possible there.
If your laptop has air inlets at the bottom, placing it at an angle will definitely help.
