Is the wrong BIOS flashed on the Asus laptop?

So this laptop is an Asus from F555L, it has an Intel Core i3 with Intel HD Graphics and there's a BIOS from X555LAB on it.

Do you think it is a wrong bios version? And could it be because of why the onboard sound card doesn't work at all, why the right USB 2.0 doesn't work at all and why Bluetooth doesn't work either?

And if it is a wrong BIOS, which BIOS fits this laptop so that everything works properly?

En

What does it show you in the CPUZ under the item Mainboard… It's best to take a screenshot and integrate it into your question:-)

A wrong BIOS leads to the fact that the thing can't run at all. In addition, the system should prevent an incompatible BIOS from being flashed. This was possible with older systems, but newer systems issue an error message.

If only one USB port and part of the periphery does not work, it could be a hardware error. Liquid damage is not uncommon in laptops and can cause certain things to fail.

So it says:

Manufacturer: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC.

Model: X555LAB ----- 1.0

Bus Specs: PCI-Express 2.0 (5.0 GT / s)

Chipset: Intel Haswell-ULT

Sounthbridge: Intel H8x (P8x

Then BIOS version 601, 602 or 603 must be https://www.asus.com/...Desk_BIOS/

Sw

I just have BIOS version 603 on it.

Sw

OK? Because I installed the sound driver on Windows 10 several times, which didn't work. I tried so far under Linux Mint, even there the sound from the onboard sound card does not come out at all.

And can water damage also lead to the display starting to flicker in certain areas from about under 60% battery?

En

Probably you loaded the wrong driver for the model because you are from the F555L? Going out… CPUZ says model X555LAB

suitable drivers can be found here:-)

Yes, if the onboard sound card is over or the bus connection is done, it doesn't work anymore.

Water damage can lead to all sorts of weird effects, which get worse over time.

Sw

Oh god, does it mean this laptop will definitely be unusable after a short time?

na

If there's water damage that can occur the only question is whether it has ever gotten water
