Laptop just goes from Linux Win?

Recently installed on my laptop Linux Mint and Kali (both on a hard drive SSD). Under Klai everything went well, under Mate the laptop sometimes just went out.

Have looked if it is perhaps due to the cooling, because he is strangely hot (even under mint) so I have put him on an increase that the entire bottom is free and also placed fan in addition. Thereafter, the temperature was okay, but problem was still there. Then I flattened the hard drive and installed Windows 10 and the problem reoccurs (but the laptop does not get hot under Windows), but I got a graphics error message.

So I have searched for the latest drivers and problem unfortunately still there.

What can this be?

Hmm… Lt. The last reports of the c't there are always problems with the energy-saving options in "Linux on laptop."

However, one might expect at best that the (somewhat) CPU throttles or the standby mode costs more power - but not that the device runs completely down.

That sounds more like an emergency shutdown, because the general ventilation / cooling does not work anymore.
That would also fit into the picture, since the same effect happens in Windows.

New drivers are likely to help little - rather "unscrew, remove dust, check whether the fans are running, etc. Usf." and hope that there was no hardware damage.

Hi

Under Mate, the laptop sometimes just went out.

What is at this time in the log files inside?

but there was a graphic error message.

You should reproduce here in full and correct wording.

So I have searched for the latest drivers

are the drivers for GNU / Linux modules!
Which modules are you talking about?
Where did you get the?
How did you install them?
Do you have acpi installed and activated?
When it comes to a portable device, is TLP installed and set up?
