My laptop can't be connected to the WLAN. I disconnected and reconnected it in the settings, then switched off Wi-Fi and the laptop still shows me no internet. The connection to the same WLAN on my smartphone is stable. What should I do to get Internet back on Windows 7 laptop?
Maybe tried a driver update?
Can updates help?
I guess your laptop has an FN key, doesn't it? If so, then see if you somehow inadvertently deactivated the network connection. There should be a network symbol on one of your keys, often on the F keys. You press this key in combination with the FN key.
Otherwise, have you run troubleshooting on Windows? To do this, right-click on the network symbol in the system tray and then select the appropriate option. Sometimes it fixes problems.
If that doesn't help, reset your laptop's network settings.
Open the command prompt (cmd) as administrator (right click => run as administrator) and execute the following commands one after the other:
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig / release
ipconfig / renew
ipconfig / flushdns
netcfg -d
Enter command by command and confirm each time with the Enter key.
Then restart your laptop.
If you still have no connection afterwards, download the network driver for your device from another device from the website of the notebook manufacturer. Then transfer this to your laptop and reinstall it.
Every now and then an anti-virus program can be responsible and block the connection for whatever reason. To check this, you could briefly deactivate your anti-virus program completely, if one is installed.
