Broken display, graphics card or something else on your laptop?

When I start the laptop, the screen is mostly black and there are several purple, green and white lines, horizontally and vertically. The picture also flickers all the time.

Is the display broken, the graphics card over or is there anything else that could be used to solve the problem?

It seems to me that the panel is broken. You could buy a new panel and swap it on your laptop.

If the graphics card is gone, an exchange is usually not worthwhile. Nothing is then displayed on the external screen.

For me it looks more like the display is broken, because other defects (first streaked horizontally, then vertically) appear exactly at the crack.
