Laptop for video editing for beginners?

I would like to buy a laptop and wanted to ask for recommendations here. I really don't care about weight, appearance and battery life, it is important to me that the laptop is powerful and not much more expensive than 600 euro. I need the laptop for school on the one hand, but I also want to be able to cut videos with it. I have inquired a little and often it is said that you can only properly cut videos with a laptop over 1000 euro. Is that really the case or is a laptop up to ~ 600 euro for editing programs like Filmora9 or Shotcut and can someone recommend a laptop to me?

So I have a gaming notebook (Lenovo Y570) from 2012 with an extra graphics card, 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD. The processor is an old 2nd generation i7 CPU.

I use it to cut videos, but it also takes a long time.

I think with a current i5 CPU and 8GB RAM you should be faster than me in processing. You can get something like this for just 600 euro.

Have a look at Otto.de or notebookbilliger.de. (HP, ASUS or LENOVO)

Good processor and good graphics card, nothing can be said for the price. For video editing as a beginner more than enough power.

You have to buy Windows yourself, but you can get it for just a few euro. This is the only way to get a good price.
