My laptop / cell phone was hacked?

I had just been on a forum for half an hour and wrote to someone I didn't know and never met.

He also said that he is from America. Then all of a sudden, he said, I got a new message from Microsoft Teams, that was exactly right. We never even remotely discussed the subject or anything like that. I then immediately deleted the history and changed passwords.

What can I still do about it or what can the hacker still do?

Can it just be that he was looking for your name?
