How can I drag pictures and videos from my mobile phone (Samsung Galaxy A5 2016) to my laptop?

I would like to drag the pictures and videos that I have on my phone to my laptop, but I somehow can't connect the two devices.

At that time I could easily pull the pictures and videos onto my laptop using the charging cable from my cell phone, but since I lost my charging cable, it has not been possible. I tried other (new) charging cables, but it somehow doesn't work.

I also tried to connect my laptop and my cell phone via Bluetooth, but somehow my laptop always says "in pairs" and I can't send anything because it says on my cell phone that the connection has been interrupted.

It would be really great if someone could help me. Maybe someone could explain to me why other charging cables do not work (they fit in my cell phone and the cell phone also charges on the laptop, but I can't access the data of my cell phone) or why I can't connect to the laptop via Bluetooth. Maybe someone of you knows other methods to import pictures and videos.

Either buy a new good charging cable that also enables data transfer OR you upload the pictures to Google Drive and then back down to Google Drive on your PC. If you need instructions on how to do this, just google.

so

Try it either with a cloud service like Dropbox or via Wi-Fi with airdroid

Thanks a lot.

Okay thanks, I'll try it out.

There are cables that only work for charging from the device in question and can't transmit data. But it could also be that you first have to authorize access from the laptop to your cell phone on your cell phone. If this is not the case, you can try another cable

Try it either as mentioned above via a cloud service or buy a new charging cable, preferably from Samsung, and try it out.

Thank you, I didn't know that there was a difference in the charging cable.

I also had this problem, suddenly I could no longer connect my cell phone to the PC.

But I have a solution.

1) Make sure that you are logged into Google with a corresponding account on your PC.

2) Go to a photo from your gallery (cell phone), go to "share" and click "upload to Google Photos".

3) Enter "Google Photos" in Google and follow the instructions there. Then you have all the pictures you uploaded in your library.

4) If you want to save these pictures in the memory of your PC, go to the picture, then "Download" and select your storage space.

Done, good luck.

Thank you, I think I'll buy a new charging cable.
