Touch pad no longer works?

I took my laptop apart for cleaning, now when reassembling the touch pad no longer works. Have tried to reconnect it several times but nothing happens. The rest goes all.

Can you fix that or will it stay that way?

The contacts on the touchpad cable are very sensitive. Maybe something broke…
