Stay in psychiatry?

I will soon (in a week) in the psychiatric ward.

Since I do not want to lose contact with my friends (Internet friends, etc.) I wanted to ask if I can keep my cell phone, laptop, tablet and all that, for example to make phone calls, chat, read lyrics and so Can I just keep that? Because my internet friends are there for me more often than my real life friends, I can talk to them about more talking. My real friends do not even know that I have to go into psychatry because they will mock me anyway.

Room:

What about the rooms? I'm not the friend of double rooms. And I find it quite uncomfortable when someone listens to me while singing or telephoning… Moreover, I find it pretty bewitching because I'm Transexual and that could then lead to problems. For example, they laugh at me or something

I have to go in the pats because they "help" me, but I'm not helped when I'm torn out of my conscience environment, I'll go there as well voluntarily because my mother blackmailed me because of "If you go there you have your cell phone… Basically I have to answer because of my sleep problems… Thanks for answers

Normally you have to deliver all electronics. You can use mobile at certain times.

Most are double rooms. There's no way around it.

That may sound awful to you now, but it's not that bad.

So next week, if you're going to volunteer, it's definitely going to be an open station.

On all (even closed) where I was (and that is very different) I was allowed to keep everything. At one station I was not allowed to have deodorant (only in a pump bottle). But I was always allowed to keep my cell phone, even though I had to make it silently during the therapies.

The rooms were very different, from large to small, sometimes even very small, mostly 2-3 bed rooms, but single rooms were rather negative for me, because you can talk to the room neighbor well!

You get used to it and most psychiatrists also want to help, I was just unlucky with the first choice, but I noticed that after 4 years and changed. Since 2014 I'm somewhere else and there you really want to help me.

Z. Z. I'm in a day clinic, I can sleep at home, I'm from 8-16 clock there.

First of all: you are like you and that's great! Do not worry so much about what others think and stand by yourself because only you know what is right and good for you and how you feel most comfortable - the way you want to be.

Then to your questions: it depends on what form of psychiatry you get. Do you go in a closed because you endanger yourself and others (self-injurious behavior, violence, etc.)? Then you will not be allowed to have any contacts for a manageable time. Are you in an open, maybe even child and adolescent psychiatry? Then you will only have contact with people who are good for you. To your parents then probably less, unless you want it (eg over the weekend). I think it will be double rooms, otherwise it will not work out. You can treat fewer patients at the same time. The system will probably have double rooms. So it was in my psychosomatic clinic when I was little. It's not that bad, there will definitely be rooms where you can have your peace, I'm sure. If they realize that you have extreme sleep problems, they may also give you a single room so you can rest. Depends on the decor, each is different. For me, the clinic was like a vacation back then. Just forget about home and forget everything for a short time. There were many offers, excursions and rest periods that I did not have at home. Try to get into it and not put pressure on you, you're there to rest and not to stress yourself. The people there are certainly nice and the other patients, too. Look at it: there will be more people with huge problems who can understand your situation far better than classmates or work colleagues.

Achso to the things yet: you can keep it, it could only give rules for example in the morning no cell phone or something. So it was with me.
