Connect iMac 5k Retina to Windows laptop? How?

Basically my question is already up, but I'm rephrase it here. I would like to connect my Windows laptop to the iMac in such a way that I can work on it on the iMac. Unfortunately, this is no longer possible using a normal cable with the 5K Retina. Is there any other option? Had already thought of a connection via TeamViewer, but that's somehow nothing half and nothing whole. So what can I do? Can I do anything at all?

Or do you want to access your Windows from your laptop from macOS? Then RDP would be suitable.
