Can you understand Danganronpa 3 without knowing Part 2?

Watched the first season of Danganronpa again after years because it happened to be found on Amazon Prime. Now I would like to continue watching, so season 3. There's no anime for the second season.

Now my question is, will I at least understand it for the most part, or should I at least read the manga about Danganronpa 2 beforehand? Unfortunately I don't have a Playstation and my notebook is not suitable for playing. And I hate to watch lets plays.
