Use two headsets on the notebook?

I would like to connect an in-ear headset (mobile phone headphones) and only use the microphone. If I connect it that way I hear sound, but the microphone does not work, probably because my notebook has no audio input.

Then I want to connect an over-ear headphone and only listen to audio.

I do not want a headset with a microphone, or just a microphone.

My notebook has only one audio output.

Does anyone have an idea how to do that instead of what I need?

I think you would need such an adapter. It does not have to be exactly this one, but it should be something like that. If you have everything plugged in then you can then In Windows then continue to make settings.
