I've been trying to connect an external monitor to my laptop with Kali for a few days. Despite error-free drivers, Kali does not recognize an external monitor. I hope one of you knows a solution because I couldn't find anything on the net
"because I couldn't find anything about it on the internet"
You mean you didn't even try.
You are trying to use a distribution that you were told at the beginning that it was not intended for beginners. But you are neither able to use a search engine nor to ask a question in such a way that one could answer it or would like to do so. So to ask questions where you provide meaningful data. Questions in which you include e.g. The output of appropriate commands that make a reasonable answer possible in the first place. But still - one more try:
First of all, you create a user, because with root permissions you never surf the Internet unnecessarily. Then (or already for that) you use the search engine of your choice. The following link explains the basic procedure using Google:

If you do not find the right answer here, or otherwise encounter special problems, you will still notice commands with which you can query data that is important to answer your question. You post the output of such commands with questions.
If you can use a search engine, you will also notice that there's various very good, specialized documentation, IRC channels, mailing lists and at least one very good forum for Kali Linux. Kali is based on Debian, so you are in good hands there with basic questions about the operating system.
Before you ask anything, you basically do your own research. If you think you still have trouble asking reasonable questions, this is a very good place to start to learn:

If you still don't get along after that, you should actually put Kali Linux aside for now, but without saying that Linux systems generally suck.
