I would like to know what the difference between computer, laptop and PC are.
Are these different things at all?
PC (= personal computer):, i. Relatively compact for personal use
Computer: Is a data processing device, i. A generic term. These can be mainframes or even smartphones
Laptop: Mobile PCs.
"Computer" is the generic term, a PC and a laptop are types of computers.
Is is about the same as the difference between a vehicle, a car and a car.
A computer / computer is a device that processes data by means of programmable calculation rules. This includes both laptops and PCs as well as smartphones, tablets, servers or mainframes.
So is the generic term for this type of device.
PC stands for Personal Computer.
Here is the term computer also already included. It is a general-purpose computer whose size and capabilities make it usable for individual personal use in everyday life. There are different types here, e.g. Desktop PCs, tablet PCs or laptops.
A laptop is a folding computer in which the keyboard, the screen and the other components needed are the same.
PC = personal computer
Laptop = mobile variant of a PC (I do not know any non-personal computer laptop model)
