After an update from Win10 s to Win10 my Microsoft Surface laptop the touchpad does not work anymore. Unfortunately, I can't get it to work any more and am now at a loss. In the control panel, I find no information on the touchpad, even the tool Windows Detective does not recognize the error. What can I do now?
Is there a mini light on the touchpad?
I've heard that this is due to the new Windows update. MS has had a lot of problems over the past few weeks. Best to undo the update.
That should only be a driver error.
In Device Manager you need to update the drivers of your touchpad. Select already existing drivers and there the driver for HID compliant mouse
Thank you, I'll try it tonight and report back
What exactly do you mean by that? There's no direct "mini light" on the touchpad.
My touchpad has a small hole on the top left. There's a led under it lights when the touchpad is disabled.
If I click on it and search the driver, it brings me the message that already installed. The touchpad still does not work like this.
Install over, or remove the device Touchpd / delete and then try to install the driver after a reboot. Normally, the driver should then be automatically rebooted without you having to do anything.
