Dear Community,
I would like to connect my company laptop to an external monitor (21: 9).
The laptop has 60 Hz, the external monitor 100 Hz.
Is that possible? Does the monitor calculate down to the laptop's low Hz number or do I get problems with the display?
It's all about Office applications and InDesign.
That depends on the monitor and which modes it supports.
This list can be read out under Windows as follows:
Desktop right mouse button; "Display Settings" (or search for "Display Settings" at startup)
Under "Display", at the bottom "Advanced display settings"
"Show adapter properties for screen X"
At "Monitor" at the bottom "List all modes"
Then you will see all resolutions and frequencies that the monitor supports.
With almost absolute certainty he will also support 60 Herz.
The safest and easiest method is to try it out.
