I shut down the laptop. As a result, I waited about a minute until I switched off the extension cable. Then I wanted to pull the plug out of the wall until the power went out. As I said, the laptop was switched off and the socket in between was deactivated. Can the new laptop still be damaged to any degree in such a procedure?
No, once had the same problem. Fuse popped, power gone. Sparks even came from the cable. If the extension cable is too old or damaged, it would definitely be replaced
I already have:-) was also my thought. Immediately replaced with a newer one.
That means the damage would have been converted to the old socket at most, but couldn't have made it to the laptop's charging cable, right?
No, as I said, the tension doesn't get that far
