I would like to buy Sims from Origin, but I'm unsure because many complain that the games will probably not work after a few weeks etc.
And I can't get a "real" game from Media Markt etc., because you can't put a CD in my laptop. I've also checked Steam, Ubisoft and EA, but they seem to work with Origin.
Regardless of whether you get it in the market or online, the games from SIMS can unfortunately only be played via Origin, but I have no problems with it. So you get every update and can also buy and play the addons directly online

Origin is owned by EA. Each EA game can only be played through Origin and that doesn't change if you buy it in the store.
I don't know that the games will go away. So nothing has ever disappeared from me and it won't either.
To play Sims 4 you can't avoid Origin. You can buy games there without hesitation. I've done it many times.
