While reading some questions here I noticed that is spoken again and again of a "VPN".

Then I tried to read a bit… And once again come to knowledge: Technical things are not my topic đŸ˜….

In another post I wrote it will soon be the first own small apartment. Of course I have my pad, my laptop and my mobile phone there.

Of course, I'm surfing the internet… Just as normal as everyone else.

Should one install / buy such a VPN? Or you do not need that as a normal girl?

So far I had not dealt with it… But because I had read so many questions with it here… Just ask the question to those who are familiar.

This will obscure your track in the network. For example, if you visit foreign sites that are blocked in Germany or you want to protect your privacy you might need it.

VPNs are more relevant to those who want to hide their connection data. Mostly in front of the state. In China, for example, where censorship is heavily censored, a VPN works like a veil that government agencies find difficult or at least very tedious.
It protects more your privacy from the insight of third parties.

For someone who lives in a state without censorship and also does not fear having to be searched, you also only surf on legal sites, a VPN makes no sense at all.

A VPN makes sense, if e.g. A Youtube video for licensing or copyright reasons in Germany is not callable.

As a VPN provider, I recommend Touch VPN. This is a free VPN with a good speed. Available as a web browser addon:

for Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/...touch-vpn/

for Google Chrome: https://chrome.google.com/...bknd?hl=de

Also available as an app for iPhone, iPad and Android devices.

Just try it.
