Moin, I ordered contact lenses on the Internet because the optician doesn't do any of them first and an ophthalmologist appointment lasts until you get one. I have now ordered the values that I have for the glasses, so 3.5 diopters for the contact lenses, but I see those when I'm on the laptop. Or see something else close up. I'm farsighted. Are my contact lenses too strong or weak now?
Your contact lenses have the wrong values. Lenses and glasses are not worth 1: 1. Because the contact lenses are closer to the eye.
So just wait until you can go to the optician again.
That's ok, then only reading glasses help. Contact lenses are not magic.
Lenses should be adjusted by an optician or optician. The material and fit must be right so that your eyes are not damaged. An optician specializing in lenses (which is often called a contact lens studio) will then show you the correct handling (care, put on and take off), discuss the maximum wearing times with you and is there for you if there are problems with the lenses the optician should give regular inspection.
You simply bought the wrong lenses, spent too much money. Throw these lenses in the trash can immediately. The wrong strength is still the least important factor. Mismatched lenses can cause severe, irreparable damage, including blindness.
Ophthalmologists may 1. Do not sell any goods and 2. They almost never know about contact lenses, because they don't learn that, they haven't learned refraction, measuring the thickness of glasses for a long time.
So if you absolutely want CL then go to an optician who can do it. Your eyes will thank you.
The strength of contact lenses is different from that of glasses, because the contact lenses are directly on the eyes, but the glasses are quite a bit in front of them.
Why is the optician currently not doing anything? Where do you live? In Germany, all opticians should be open because they are part of health care. My optician was only closed for two weeks in March.
Do not use the purchased lens! With this you will break your eyes. Go to the optician!
