Eizo monitor and Dell laptop no signal transmission?

I bought a Dell laptop and this week I bought an EIZO 2450 monitor that I want to connect to it. According to the monitor, there's no signal transmission, the monitor immediately goes into standby mode and remains black. Connection via USB. What can I do?

Why no HDMI or DVI?

USB is not "common" for help.

Mh, I tried the two included cables and noticed that I needed an adapter for HDMI. The two HDMI connections in the supplied cable are wider and do not fit the connection of my laptop. But then I understand correctly that I would probably have more success with a different HDMI connection? Ok, let's try. And thank you in advance for the answer!

I couldn't get USB, but HDMI worked.

Connections on the laptop - which are available?

Maybe this is also "Display Port", then an adapter would also be required.

So, unfortunately I'm not yet successful. I bought a DisplayPort adapter cable for monitor, but my monitor keeps saying: HDMI- no signal, DVI no signal, D-SUB no signal and display port not signal. Now I drive the computer down and up again.

What other alternatives do I have? : - /

First determine which port your Dell model has.

Then look at "Dell" or on the Internet to find out if this port has to be activated via a key combination - this is what happened with my HP laptop. There the external VGA output is switched off by default and must also be switched on with a key comanation (Fn + F5);

Unfortunately I can't get any further, I tried it.

I have now reached the control for Intel UHD graphics. There I can only choose "integrated display" under select display, I have no other options. After pressing the "Detect" button, no other monitor is recognized. On the DELL side I also move in a circle, I already had the settings for this laptop displayed via the service tag, although that doesn't really help. I have a LATITUDE 5490 with the service TAg 48N85S2… Whose service expired on January 8th… Whatever that means for me. Can anyone tell me if this laptop is able to operate a second monitor at all?

Many thanks for the support. I had an old colleague there by now… The problem was solved by an HDMI to HDMI connection. The newly purchased cable HDMI (laptop) to display port did not work on another laptop either. It remains open whether only the cable had a blow, and / or the display port on the monitor!

Thank you for your feedback signal.
