About a year ago I bought a Dell laptop with the following specs:
DELL G
Intel Core i7-9750H
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060
512GB SSD
16 GB, 2 x 8 GB, DDR4, 2666 MHz
I hope this data is enough for an overview.
Now I wanted to play Apex Legends and can't play the game smoothly. It runs smoothly for a few seconds and then starts to jerk.
I've already set the graphics settings to the absolute minimum, but unfortunately that didn't help either.
I'm playing on an external monitor and thought the problem might come from there, but unfortunately the same problem even without a monitor!
Does anyone know what that could be?
So it says on the internet that 8 GB of VRAM is recommended.
If I'm not mistaken, the RTX 2060 "only" has 6 GB.
How are the temperatures? Vl is just too hot and therefore limited. 🙈
Do you have any popup apps, if not try full screen window mode
Yes, the graphics card only has 6 GB, but is it really possible that the game is so unplayable?
This is what amazes me…
That actually can't be because the RTX 2060 is a good card.
Is that only the case in Apex Legends, or elsewhere?
I will test it!
If I have to look, I honestly didn't pay attention to it
So far the first game that causes problems. Had no problems with Modern Warfare and LoL.
The game runs smoothly on the 4gig of a 1050 ti, that's not the case.
I would have thought so too, yes.
But it said so in the system requirements…
It's not the performance of your hardware, something is hindering the game fundamentally.
How can I proceed in this case? I'm really not a tech ace: /
Even the most computer-savvy among us despair of this. See if the resolution is correct, 4k for example will be tight. Maybe there's something else in the full screen that the game is somehow "minimized" or something
Ok, I'll give it a try, I only have an FHD display / monitor, so I didn't even try 4K…
